Parts of Speech Overview

Every sentence must have a WHO and a DOES WHAT.
The WHO= Noun/Pronoun (also called the Subject)
The DOES WHAT= Verb (also called Predicate)

Then, there are two Parts of Speech that give more detail, liven up the party.

Nouns + Adjectives= BFF
Verbs + Adverb = BFF

SO WHAT ARE THE PARTS OF SPEECH??

BUT WHY???

Preposition Pictures!

To help solidify memory of prepositions, as a class we completed two hands on activities.
**The first of these was Preposition Boxes, where we paper folded boxes and placed locations (with) the box.
** The second activity we explored our environment and took preposition pictures. Can you guess which prepositions apply to the following pictures, taken by students?

Word Skills Class

This class covers those trickier to obtain standards: Parts of Speech, Vocabulary, and Spelling.
Benefits:
You will earn 3 Spelling hits,
3-4 Vocabulary hits,
mark off your Parts of Speech standard within the level it is needed in.

**We will complete said standards through art creation, game play, partner practice, and full class discussion (tips of the trade)
